DYLAN BAKER DEALT TO THE DODGERS

The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired pitcher Dylan Baker from the Milwaukee Brewers for cash.

What does it give the Los Angeles Dodgers
In Baker, the Dodgers add a pitcher who has often been injured early on in his development. That said, the 25-year-old has talent and could be worthy of a spot on the 40-man roster. Baker can both start and relieve.

What does it give the Milwaukee Brewers
The Brewers decided to designate Baker for assignment during the holidays, so they did well to at least receive an asset in return (even though it will not amount to much). Baker's Cleveland career was marred by injury.

Fantasy impact
Because of the possibility of pitching out of Chavez Ravine, one of the most pitcher-friendly ball parks in Major League Baseball, Baker should now be on the fantasy radar. That said, he is still far away from becoming viable and must first crack the Dodgers' 25-man roster out of spring training.
