BUCS BRING IN OF COREY DICKERSON

The Pittsburgh Pirates acquired outfielder Corey Dickerson from the Tampa Bay Rays for pitcher Daniel Hudson, infielder Tristan Gray and cash.

What does it give the Pittsburgh Pirates
In Dickerson, the Pirates acquire a solid, left-handed bat for the middle of their lineup. He might form a platoon in Pittsburgh and will play left field (after spending a lot of time as Tampa Bay's DH the last two seasons). The Bucs hope Dickerson can help alleviate the loss of Andrew McCutchen (traded to San Francisco).

What does it give the Tampa Bay Rays
Tampa Bay decided to designate Dickerson for assignment recently, despite the fact he batted .282 with 27 home runs in 2017. In return, the Rays add a decent setup man in Hudson and a long-range middle infield prospect in Gray. Tampa also receives some cash in the deal. Eventually, Gray may turn this trade into a steal.

Fantasy impact
Dickerson's value takes a small hit now that he is back in the National League. He might end up in a strict platoon in Pittsburgh and will not be able to DH much. Hudson will likely be a source of holds as a setup man for Alex Colome in Tampa Bay. As for Gray, he should definitely be on the keeper radar and a potential late-round draft pick in deep keeper leagues.
