BREW CREW GETS MILLER, RAYS GET CHOI

The Milwaukee Brewers acquired infielder Brad Miller and cash from the Tampa Bay Rays for first baseman Ji-Man Choi.

What does it give the Milwaukee Brewers
The Brewers have struggled to find consistent production from several of their infield spots this season, so maybe Miller can help out if/when he gets called up from the minors. Miller hit 30 homers back in 2016, he has a lot of versatility with his glove, and he does not come with a hefty contract (so overall he is not a terrible risk).

What does it give the Tampa Bay Rays
Miller became expendable for the Rays when the team recently called up promising first baseman Jake Bauers. Meanwhile, Choi has struggled mightily during his limited time in the major leagues but he still has a potent bat that might eventually come around. Choi heads to Triple-A for now.

Fantasy impact
There is no immediate fantasy impact for either of the players or teams involved in this deal. That said, both of Miller and Choi are talented batters when focused and in the right situations, so it is probably worthwhile to keep both on the deep sleeper radar in single-season fantasy formats.
