The Cleveland Indians acquired pitcher James Hoyt from the Houston Astros for pitcher Tommy DeJuneas.
What does it give the Cleveland Guardians
The Indians may need Hoyt to fill a bullpen role at some point this season, so adding him at this time makes sense. For now, he will remain at the Triple-A level.
What does it give the Houston Astros
The Astros have enough bullpen depth, so they felt they did not need Hoyt anymore. DeJuneas also profiles as a reliever but will need more development time.

Neither Hoyt nor DeJuneas should be claimed in any fantasy league until they are brought up to MLB and given a specific role out of the bullpen.
