'ZONA ADDS ZIEGLER--AGAIN

The Arizona Diamondbacks acquired pitcher Brad Ziegler from the Miami Marlins for pitcher Tommy Eveld.

What does it give the Arizona Diamondbacks
The Diamondbacks know Ziegler well, as he pitched for Arizona from 2011 to 2016. Now 38, the side-winding right-hander will likely be used as a setup man for Brad Boxberger in his second go-round with the D'backs.

What does it give the Miami Marlins
In Eveld, the Marlins hope to fill the hole created by the departure of Ziegler in the bullpen (at some point). The 6'5" right-hander has not pitched above Double-A ball but displays much promise as a high-leverage reliever.

Fantasy impact
Ziegler should see more holds opportunities in Arizona, but his saves had already dried up even before the trade. His value moves up slightly, overall. As for Eveld, look for him to challenge for a spot in Miami's bullpen next spring. He is one to watch.
