BREWERS BRING IN XAVIER CEDENO
The Milwaukee Brewers acquired pitcher Xavier Cedeno from the Chicago White Sox for outfielder Bryan Connell and pitcher Johan Dominguez.
What does it give the Milwaukee Brewers
The Brewers have an elite left-handed reliever in Josh Hader, but their No. 2 bullpen lefty (Dan Jennings) is currently dealing with an injury. Therefore, expect Cedeno to be used in a setup role in place of Jennings down the stretch.
What does it give the Chicago White Sox
With the White Sox fully committed to rebuilding, they did well here to send Cedeno to a contender and get back two prospects. Connell has more upside than Dominguez, and neither player is close to MLB, but both offer hope.
Fantasy impact
Neither Connell nor Dominguez should be on the fantasy radar yet, as they are too far away from MLB at this point. As for Cedeno, he should be picked up if still available because his hold opportunities should go up in the final month of 2018 as a member of the Brew Crew.
