What does it give the Chicago White Sox
The White Sox are taking a flier on a reclamation project here, as Banuelos is a former top pitching prospect who has endured a lot of injury woes throughout his professional career. He is now 27 years old, so it may be put up or shut up time for the southpaw in Chicago.
What does it give the Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers have enough quality pitching depth, so they decided to move Banuelos out in exchange for Yurchak (a corner infielder). The latter might become a bench option at some point down the line, but he is unlikely to become an everyday player in MLB.
Fantasy impact
Banuelos should only be a consideration in the deepest of keeper leagues, and even that may be stretching it. Yurchak has no current fantasy value and his prospects for the future are dim.
