The Arizona Diamondbacks acquired outfielder/infielder Tim Locastro from the New York Yankees for pitcher Ronald Roman and cash.
What does it give the Arizona Diamondbacks
For the Diamondbacks, Locastro adds plenty more versatility to a roster that already boasts several players who can play a lot of different positions. Look for Locastro to play all over the field in Arizona in 2019.
What does it give the New York Yankees
The Yankees recently designated Locastro for assignment, so they did well here to land a prospect and cash in the deal. The 17-year-old Roman is obviously quite raw but is a good pickup for a utility man.
Fantasy impact
Locastro will play all over the field for the Diamondbacks, which has value in Major League Baseball (but not in fantasy leagues). Roman is way too young to project at this time.
