BLUE JAYS BRING IN BRITO

The Toronto Blue Jays acquired outfielder Socrates Brito from the San Diego Padres for outfielder Rodrigo Orozco.

What does it give the Toronto Blue Jays
In Brito, the Blue Jays get a toolsy outfielder who can play all three outfield positions in MLB. He has had trouble finding playing time, so perhaps Toronto will give him an opportunity. He will compete for at-bats with the likes of Anthony Alford, Billy McKinney and Teoscar Hernandez.

What does it give the San Diego Padres
The Padres claimed Brito off waivers from division-rival Arizona recently, but they simply had no room for him on the 25-man roster (they are quite deep in outfielders at present time). So, they shipped him to Toronto for outfield prospect Orozco (who remains in the minors).

Fantasy impact
Brito needs to find his niche in Major League Baseball before becoming a major fantasy factor. Orozco has no value at present time.
