What does it give the Baltimore Orioles
The Orioles are the latest team to give Broxton a shot in MLB. He is a good athlete and outfielder but Broxton is not an impact hitter whatsoever. He may serve a bench or platoon role in Baltimore but do not expect him to carve out a regular role.
What does it give the New York Mets
The Mets recently designated Broxton for assignment when they purchased the contract of veteran outfielder Carlos Gomez. In exchange for Broxton's services, New York will receive a little extra money to spend on international prospects.
