BREWERS BRING IN CATCHER NARVAEZ

The Milwaukee Brewers acquired catcher Omar Narvaez from the Seattle Mariners for pitcher Adam Hill and a supplemental second-round draft pick in 2020.

What does it give the Milwaukee Brewers
For Milwaukee, Narvaez will help replace the departed Yasmani Grandal (who signed with the White Sox as a free agent earlier this off-season). Narvaez is a left-handed batter, so look for the 27-year-old to form a platoon with the Brewers with 32-year-old veteran Manny Pina next season.

What does it give the Seattle Mariners
For the Mariners, the future considerations in this trade will be a Competitive Balance Round B pick in the 2020 draft. As for Hill, he was originally drafted by the Mets but went to Milwaukee in the Keon Broxton deal last winter. The 22-year-old has upside but has yet to pitch above low Single-A ball.

Fantasy impact
Narvaez has some home-run power, and he hit .278 with Seattle in 2019, so there is some fantasy value here. However, he is almost certain not to play against most left-handed starters next season, which tempers his impact a little. Hill has some work to do in order to appear on the keeper radar but the talent is there. Keep an eye on Hill throughout 2020.
