ADAM CIMBER SENT TO MIAMI

The Miami Marlins acquired pitcher Adam Cimber from the Cleveland Indians for cash.

What does it give the Miami Marlins
In Cimber, the Marlins land a decent reliever who has pitched fairly well over his 152 MLB appearances. Look for the 30-year-old right-hander to pitch in a setup or middle relief role for Miami in 2021.

What does it give the Cleveland Guardians
The Indians had recently designated Cimber for assignment, so it was expected that they were going to move on from him (one way or the other). So, they did OK by accepting cash from the Marlins here.

Fantasy impact
At this point, Cimber should not be drafted in virtually all fantasy leagues. However, he might carve out a big enough role to become a factor in the Miami bullpen once the '21 campaign begins. Keep an eye on him.
