In Wisler, the Rays add a serviceable reliever with enough talent that the club should be able to maximize. They generally do.
What does it give the San Francisco Giants
After designating Wisler for assignment, the Giants did well to add Plassmeyer to the fold. The 24-year-old right-hander has some untapped ability.
Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact here. Wisler will be used properly by Tampa Bay but they do not have a lot of set roles on their pitching staff. Plassmeyer is a question mark at this point.
