YIMI GARCIA GOES TO HOUSTON
The Houston Astros acquired pitcher Yimi Garcia from the Miami Marlins for pitcher Austin Pruitt and outfielder Bryan De La Cruz.
What does it give the Houston Astros
Like Cincinnati in the National League, the Astros are adding relief pitchers like they are going out of style over in the American League. Garcia is the latest, after also acquiring Kendall Graveman and Rafael Montero from the Mariners recently.
What does it give the Miami Marlins
Pruitt was recently designated for assignment by the Astros but he could help Miami moving forward. He is a veteran with a bit of success in MLB, though not this season. De La Cruz adds to Miami's outfield prospects pool.
Fantasy impact
There should not be too many save chances for Garcia now that he is in Houston. He should continue to be a source of holds, however. Pruitt and De La Cruz do not own much in the way of fantasy value at present time.
