The Atlanta Braves acquired outfielder Adam Duvall from the Miami Marlins for catcher Alex Jackson.

What does it give the Atlanta Braves
Veteran Duvall returns to Atlanta after spending mere months with the Marlins. His right-handed bat should mix in well with left-handed batters Joc Pederson and Eddie Rosario (also acquired before the deadline) in the outfield.

What does it give the Miami Marlins
The Marlins do not have much depth behind the plate behind No. 1 man Jorge Alfaro. Therefore, the addition of the 25-year-old Jackson makes sense. He stands a good chance to back up Alfaro for the foreseeable future.

Fantasy impact
Duvall will play a lot less in Atlanta, so he can now be dropped in some leagues. Be prepared for that. Jackson has no fantasy value as long as Alfaro is ahead of him on the depth chart.
