BREWERS BRING IN BROSSEAU

The Milwaukee Brewers acquired infielder Mike Brosseau from the Tampa Bay Rays for pitcher Evan Reifert.

What does it give the Milwaukee Brewers
In Brosseau, the Brewers get a decent right-handed batter who might be able to carve out a platoon role in Milwaukee. He can play both second and third base, plus he might be used as a corner outfielder or even first baseman too. He is a good bat off the bench.

What does it give the Tampa Bay Rays
The Rays have plenty of versatile players throughout their organization, so losing Brosseau should not hurt too much. Reifert is a young right-hander with plenty of potential as a late-inning reliever. Therefore, this is a solid pickup for Tampa Bay at this time.

Fantasy impact
Brosseau is more likely to have fantasy appeal as an in-season pickup than as a draft option. That is because his role is undefined at present time. Take a wait-and-see approach with him. Reifert is a candidate to eventually land on the fantasy radar, but he is not there yet.
