MARLINS MOVE FOR BULLPEN HELP

The Miami Marlins acquired pitchers Tanner Scott and Cole Sulser from the Baltimore Orioles for pitcher Antonio Velez, outfielder Kevin Guerrero, a player to be named later and a competitive balance round B draft pick in 2022.

What does it give the Miami Marlins
Scott, a left-hander, and right-hander Sulser should provide a major boost to Miami's bullpen in 2022. Dylan Floro is currently scheduled to be the team's closer but he is injured. Therefore, Scott and Sulser join the likes of Anthony Bass and Anthony Bender as potential late-inning options for the Marlins.

What does it give the Baltimore Orioles
The Orioles decided to move two serviceable relievers for more prospects. That is not uncommon given that Baltimore is still in full rebuilding mode. Velez is a pretty good left-handed pitching prospect who could work his way all the way up to Baltimore this season. Guerrero has huge long-range upside.

Fantasy impact
Both Scott and Sulser could be in line for more holds and saves in Miami. Therefore, both should be on the fantasy draft radar in many leagues. Both Velez and Guerrero have keeper value, though Velez is much closer to MLB and Guerrero has a much higher long-term ceiling.
