ALEX JACKSON JETTISONED TO MILWAUKEE
The Milwaukee Brewers acquired catcher Alex Jackson from the Miami Marlins for infielder Hayden Cantrelle and pitcher Alexis Ramirez.
What does it give the Milwaukee Brewers
After adding Victor Caratini, Milwaukee now decided to add even more catching depth in the form of Jackson. The latter will probably serve as the No. 3 catcher for the Brewers in 2022, but he will begin his season with his new organization at Triple-A Nashville.
What does it give the Miami Marlins
The Marlins decided to give up on Jackson, a former top prospect as the sixth overall selection in 2014 by Seattle. Both Cantrelle and Ramirez are long-range prospects for Miami. The Fish will begin 2022 with Jacob Stallings as their main backstop.
Fantasy impact
None of Jackson, Cantrelle or Ramirez has much fantasy value for keeper leagues. All three can be ignored in most drafts at this time.
