ARIZONA PICKS UP PITCHER PAUL FRY
The Arizona Diamondbacks acquired pitcher Paul Fry from the Baltimore Orioles for pitcher Luis Osorio.
What does it give the Arizona Diamondbacks
In Fry, the Diamondbacks land a left-handed reliever with MLB experience. For now, he will be optioned to Triple-A Reno but could be an option for Arizona at some point in 2022. In fact, his eventual recall is likely.
What does it give the Baltimore Orioles
Osorio is young and raw, but not without talent. Therefore, this is a good acquisition for Baltimore in exchange for a pitcher the club had designated for assignment recently. Osorio is a good dart throw.
Fantasy impact
Neither Fry nor Osorio are fantasy options at this point, but for very different reasons: the former is mostly a journeyman left-hander without fantasy chops, while the latter is several years away from being on the fantasy radar.
