The Pirates get a versatile infielder who should be able to help out with the team's depth chart at present time, as Pittsburgh is dealing with a few injuries. Chang is mostly a bench or platoon option, though.
What does it give the Cleveland Guardians
Cleveland recently designated Chang for assignment, so they will receive a little bit of cash for their troubles. He was a platoon player for Cleveland last season but was barely utilized early on in 2022.
Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact here, as Chang is not really an offensive infielder. Nothing to see here.
