ALBERT ABREU ADDED BY KANSAS CITY
The Kansas City Royals acquired pitcher Albert Abreu from the Texas Rangers for pitcher Yohanse Morel.
What does it give the Kansas City Royals
In Abreu, the Royals add a reliever with a good arm (and loads of control issues). If they can harness that aspect of his game, they might be able to get a lot of mileage out of Abreu's arm.
What does it give the Texas Rangers
The Rangers recently designated Abreu for assignment, so they did well to get back a future asset for him. Morel is similar to Abreu (big arm, shaky results), only without MLB experience.
Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact here, as Abreu and Morel are potential middle relievers in MLB (if they can put things together). There is no need to pick either pitcher up in any league format at this time.
