What does it give the Atlanta Braves
The Braves are looking for a spark at second base after losing Ozzie Albies to a long-term injury. Cano may have something left in the tank but he is definitely on his last legs as a big-league player.
What does it give the San Diego Padres
The Padres did not really have a need for Cano, despite signing him to a minor-league contract earlier this season. So they helped the Braves out a little bit and also got back some cash.
Fantasy impact
Cano is not a recommendable fantasy option any longer. Pick him up only in desperation.
