MANCINI MOVED TO HOUSTON

In a three-team trade, the Houston Astros acquired first baseman/designated hitter Trey Mancini from the Baltimore Orioles, and pitcher Jayden Murray from the Tampa Bay Rays; Tampa Bay acquired outfielder Jose Siri from the Astros, and Baltimore acquired pitcher Seth Johnson from the Rays, and pitcher Chayce McDermott from the Astros.

What does it give the Houston Astros
For Houston, Mancini should upgrade the team's first base situation (Yuli Gurriel has struggled mightily this season). He could make an impact and the Astros did not give up much to get him.

What does it give the Tampa Bay Rays
The Rays continue to seek out outfield help, due to their injury situation, so Siri has a chance to play regularly before the end of 2022. Tampa Bay is a good situation for Siri.

What does it give the
The Orioles were able to secure two pitching prospects for Mancini, though both have question marks. Johnson has loads of potential but is currently injured, while McDermott is wild (with a good arm).

Fantasy impact
Mancini could make a huge impact moving from Baltimore to Houston down the stretch. Pick him up if available. Siri could be a sneaky addition down the stretch, while Johnson and McDermott are potential keepers. Keep an eye on them. Murray has little value.
