The Atlanta Braves acquired pitcher Raisel Iglesias from the Los Angeles Angels for pitchers Tucker Davidson and Jesse Chavez.
What does it give the Atlanta Braves
Atlanta solidified their bullpen even further by adding Angels closer Iglesias to the mix. He is likely to serve as a setup man for Kenley Jansen with the Braves, replacing Will Smith (traded to Houston) in the process.
What does it give the Los Angeles Angels
The Angels get Davidson, who struggled as part of Atlanta's rotation earlier this season. He has pitched well in the minors and should get a shot at earning a spot in LA's rotation this year. Chavez is a veteran reliever thrown into this deal.
Fantasy impact
Iglesias loses a ton of value moving from the Angels to the Braves, so proceed with caution with him. He now becomes a source of holds, not saves, with his new team. Davidson could be the big winner in this deal, as he is a candidate to replace Noah Sydergaard (traded to Philadelphia) in LA's rotation. Chavez holds no fantasy value.
