JIMENEZ HEADS TO ATLANTA

The Atlanta Braves acquired pitcher Joe Jimenez and cash from the Detroit Tigers for outfielder Justyn-Henry Malloy and pitcher Jake Higginbotham.

What does it give the Atlanta Braves
In Jimenez, the Braves land a solid late-inning reliever who will probably serve a setup role in Atlanta next season. They also got a little money to help pay his salary for 2023. He will become a free agent after '23.

What does it give the Detroit Tigers
The Tigers did well to land two prospects for a reliever in this deal, even if they had to send some cash to complete this swap with Atlanta. Malloy is a quality outfield prospect, while Higginbotham also shows some promise.

Fantasy impact
Jimenez should be a solid source of holds (at the very least) in 2023, so he could be a late-round draft consideration in many leagues. Malloy should definitely be on the keeper radar, while Higginbotham may receive a better opportunity while in the Tigers organization.
