RED SOX, ROYALS SWAP PITCHERS

The Boston Red Sox acquired pitcher Wyatt Mills from the Kansas City Royals for pitcher Jacob Wallace.

What does it give the Boston Red Sox
The Red Sox are getting a right-handed pitcher in Mills, who compiled a 4.60 ERA in 2022. He will look to compete for a bullpen role with Boston in 2023.

What does it give the Kansas City Royals
The Royals designated Mills for assignment so receiving a player in return is a good move. Wallace spent all of '22 at Double-A. He must continue to prove himself with his new team.
