Irvin is a solid left-handed starting pitcher in MLB, so he should help the Orioles in 2023. Virbitsky is not a top prospect but he should add solid organizational starting pitching depth.
What does it give the Oakland Athletics
The Athletics moved out two pitchers in exchange for Hernaiz, a solid infield prospect with positional versatility. He has played shortstop and may be able to stick there.
Fantasy impact
Irvin's fantasy stock should remain the same moving from Oakland to Baltimore, though his spot in the starting rotation is not as guaranteed. He should receive better run support, though. Both Hernaiz and Virbitsky should be on the keeper radar after this deal.
