What does it give the St. Louis Cardinals
Hernandez, only 19 years old, began the '23 season in Single-A ball before being sent back to Rookie ball due to his struggles. He is a long-term lottery ticket for the Cardinals, who are likely happy to get this player in return for someone who was recently designated for assignment (Cabrera).
Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact with this trade. Cabrera has to regain his form before getting another chance in Major League Baseball, while Hernandez has a long way to go before landing on the fantasy radar.
