Ramirez was with the Yankees last year but was moved at the beginning of the month to Texas. Now, he's with Oakland. Ramirez has a live arm, so look for him to crack the A's bullpen.

What does it give the Texas Rangers
The Rangers have been searching for a middle infield reserve since releasing Khalil Greene, so perhaps Petit will get the nod. The 25-year-old Petit still offers a little upside.
