NEVIN RETURNS TO BALTIMORE
The Baltimore Orioles acquired infielder/outfielder Tyler Nevin from the Detroit Tigers for cash.
What does it give the Baltimore Orioles
Nevin's best asset is his versatility as he can play both corner infield and corner outfield positions. However, he has struggled to hit at the big league level in his career. He will likely start 2024 at Triple-A ball as infield depth in his second stint as an Oriole.
What does it give the Detroit Tigers
The Tigers received the same return that they gave the Orioles back in 2022 when they originally acquired Nevin. They have Nevin a chance to become a regular contributor, but he did not cease the oppotunity. So, he is now back in Baltimore.
