ASTROS ACQUIRE CABBAGE
The Houston Astros acquired infielder/outfielder Trey Cabbage from the Los Angeles Angels for pitcher Carlos Espinosa.
What does it give the Houston Astros
Cabbage earned a call-up last season after putting up very impressive numbers in Triple-A. It is hard to envision him getting the same MLB opportunity on a much deeper Astros roster.
What does it give the Los Angeles Angels
Espinosa was not considered one of the Astros' top prospects. The young right-hander will require plenty more seasoning in the minors before he even becomes an option for the Angels.
Fantasy impact
Both Cabbage and Espinosa seem destined to spend the 2024 season at the minor-league level, so there is no fantasy impact with this trade.
