RANGERS, A'S DEAL RELIEVERS

The Oakland Athletics acquired pitcher Guillermo Moscoso from the Texas Rangers for pitcher Ryan Kelly.

What does it give the Oakland Athletics
Moscoso showed solid promise as a reliever in 2009 before a down 2010, but last season's disappointment was due in part to injury. He should push for a spot in the A's bullpen in 2011.

What does it give the Texas Rangers
Kelly is a few years younger than Moscoso and showed good strikeout potential playing in the lower minors last year. The Rangers obviously like his potential moreso than Moscoso. Expect Kelly to continue moving up the minor-league ladder.
