YANKEES, BREWERS EXCHANGE ARMS
The New York Yankees acquired pitcher Clayton Andrews from the Milwaukee Brewers for pitcher Joshua Quezada.
What does it give the New York Yankees
Andrews will offer the Yankees some pitching depth after placing Scott Effross on the 60-day IL. He had bloated numbers in four MLB appearances last season, so the left-handed pitcher will likely start 2024 in Triple-A ball.
What does it give the Milwaukee Brewers
Quezada is a 19-year-old right-hander who pitched in the Dominican Summer League during the 2023 campaign. The Brewers are taking a flier on an unproven pitcher with the hopes of a big reward down the road.
Fantasy impact
Both Andrews and Quezada are likely going to spend the 2024 season in the minors, so they offer little fantasy value.
