BOWMAN DEALT TO DIAMONDBACKS
The Arizona Diamondbacks acquired pitcher Matt Bowman from the Minnesota Twins for cash.
What does it give the Arizona Diamondbacks
Bowman provides the Diamondbacks with much-needed bullpen depth. He should fill a role in low-leverage situations. He is still looking to re-establish himself in MLB after battling injuries, but could be a useful addition for the Diamondbacks.
What does it give the Minnesota Twins
Minnesota's bullpen is nearing full health, and Jhoan Duran's return from the injured list made Bowman the odd man out. As Bowman had pitched well this season, the Twins were able to get some cash in return after designating him for assignment.
Fantasy impact
This trade has no fantasy impact, as Bowman is unlikely to pitch in high-leverage situations for Arizona. He picked up a few holds with the Twins, but that is his ceiling in fantasy leagues.
