This is the second time the Mets have traded Ramirez this season, and he becomes the second depth pitcher the Dodgers have acquired in the last week. With all of LA's pitching injuries, Ramirez may get a chance to improve on his lowly 6.91 ERA.
What does it give the New York Mets
The Mets continue their on-again, off-again relationship with Ramirez. Just like the first time they traded him, the return is a straight cash deal. The Mets clearly like Ramirez, but perhaps they should resist a third acquisition of his services.
Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact with this trade, as Ramirez is no sure thing to pitch for the Dodgers for more than a few games.
