DODGERS ACQUIRE ANDERSON FOR INFIELD

The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired infielder Marlon Anderson from the Washington Nationals for minor-league pitcher Jhonny Nunez.

What does it give the Los Angeles Dodgers
The veteran will give the Dodgers a little extra depth and experience around the infield, primarily at second base, and he can also play a little in the outfield. Low on left-handed hitters, Anderson gives them that as well.

What does it give the Washington Nationals
Nunez is a 20-year-old righty who has enjoyed a strong first season in the low minors as a starter and reliever. So far so good, but he has a few years before he gets considered as a significant big-league prospect.
