COCO TO K.C.

The Kansas City Royals acquired outfielder Coco Crisp from the Boston Red Sox for pitcher Ramon Ramirez.

What does it give the Kansas City Royals
In Crisp, the Royals believe they have finally solved their woes at the top of the batting order. He will probably replace David DeJesus and Joey Gathright as the everyday center-fielder in Kansas City.

What does it give the Boston Red Sox
Ramirez provides more bullpen depth and another quality righty arm for the Sox. He has the potential to set up closer Jonathan Papelbon but is more likely to pitch in the seventh inning or earlier. Dealing away Crisp also cements Jacoby Ellsbury's status as the team's undisputed center-fielder and leadoff man.
