NATS ACQUIRE GORZELANNY

The Washington Nationals acquired pitcher Tom Gorzelanny from the Chicago Cubs for outfielder Michael Burgess, and pitchers Graham Hicks and A.J. Morris.

What does it give the Washington Nationals
The left-handed Gorzelanny should help a Washington rotation with a ton of question marks. He might be the only southpaw in their rotation, which adds to his value. He appeared to be on his way out of the bigs, but turned things around in a big way with the Cubs last season. Can he do it again?

What does it give the Chicago Cubs
The Cubs land three prospects for a pitcher that became a bit redundant after the club acquired Matt Garza from Tampa Bay. Hicks seems like the best of the lot, but he's also the furthest away from the bigs. Burgess needs to turn things around, while Morris is a marginal prospect.
