A'S ACQUIRE TADANO

The Oakland Athletics acquired pitcher Kazuhito Tadano from the Cleveland Indians for minor-league outfielder Ramon Alvarado.

What does it give the Oakland Athletics
The A's have been bulking up on pitching depth over the past few days, and Tadano isn't a bad addition. Though he doesn't throw hard, the young righty has strong breaking stuff and has had decent success, mostly as a reliever, in the minors and, briefly, in the majors. He'll start out with the A's at Triple-A.

What does it give the Cleveland Guardians
Alvarado gives the Tribe a little outfield depth in the low minors for now, coming off a solid first pro season in Rookie League. He has decent all-around tools but has a long way to go before emerging on the prospect radar.
