RANGERS RE-ACQUIRE BRIGHAM
The Texas Rangers acquired pitcher Jake Brigham from the Chicago Cubs for pitcher Barret Loux.
What does it give the Texas Rangers
The Rangers drafted Brigham, but dealt him to Chicago for catcher {P Geovany Soto} this past season. They obviously like him a lot, so Texas got him back. Brigham has a very good arm but must learn how to harness it.
What does it give the Chicago Cubs
Loux is a year younger than Brigham, and has some decent starting pitcher upside of his own. He may not have the same quality arm, but he has a chance to become a decent starter for the Cubs down the road.
Fantasy impact
Neither Brigham nor Loux will have much fantasy appeal for a little while, at least. However, Brigham (in particular) should be on most people's keeper-league radar.
