CUBS GET RUGGIANO FOR BOGUSEVIC

The Chicago Cubs acquired outfielder Justin Ruggiano from the Miami Marlins for outfielder Brian Bogusevic.

What does it give the Chicago Cubs
After falling out of favor in Miami, Ruggiano looks to rebound in the Windy City. A right-handed batter with streakiness, Ruggiano may end up in a center-field platoon with lefty batter {P Ryan Sweeney}, or he may take the job outright if he hits enough.

What does it give the Miami Marlins
This was a swap of backup outfielders, essentially. Bogusevic, a left-handed hitter, could be insurance in case projected left-fielder {P Christian Yelich} struggles this spring, or if one of {P Marcell Ozuna} or {P Jake Marisnick} doesn't seize the center-field job.

Fantasy impact
Neither player is projected to play every day in their new homes, so both Ruggiano and Bogusevic remain fantasy dark horses at this point.
