GIANTS ACQUIRE HUFF FROM THE YANKS

The San Francisco Giants acquired pitcher David Huff from the New York Yankees for cash.

What does it give the San Francisco Giants
If the veteran lefty makes the Giants, he'll likely serve as a long man out of the bullpen (and occasional spot-starter). He has a wealth of experience but is rather mediocre, so pitching for the Giants at AT&T Park should help Huff.

What does it give the New York Yankees
The Yankees recently designated Huff for assignment to make room on their 40-man roster for newcomer {P Masahiro Tanaka}. Therefore, they simply sold Huff to the Giants and got something out of nothing.

Fantasy impact
Huff doesn't have much fantasy value, no matter where he pitches. That's because his stuff isn't great and he's likely to pitch in long relief.
