ANGELS ADD A BULLPEN LEFTY WITH THATCHER

The Los Angeles Angels acquired pitcher Joe Thatcher and outfielder Tony Campana from the Arizona Diamondbacks for outfielder Zach Borenstein and pitcher Joey Krehbiel.

What does it give the Los Angeles Angels
The Angels needed another lefty for their bullpen, since {P Sean Burnett} is on the DL, {P Hector Santiago} is more of a spot-starter or long reliever, while {P Rich Hill} is a journeyman specialist with a lot of big-league success. Thatcher should help, while Campana is a speedy reserve outfielder who might find his way in Orange County to serve a bench role.

What does it give the Arizona Diamondbacks
Of the two prospects, Borenstein is the more advanced player but Krehbiel may have the most upside of the two. Both are several years away from helping the D'backs but at least the team received pretty good youngsters for two players they didn't need during their rebuilding efforts.

Fantasy impact
There isn't much fantasy value here, because Thatcher and Campana are spare parts, while Borenstein and Krehbiel are borderline keeper-league material. This deal won't change much in the fantasy world.
