TWINS GET MILONE FROM OAKLAND

The Minnesota Twins acquired pitcher Tommy Milone from the Oakland Athletics for outfielder Sam Fuld.

What does it give the Minnesota Twins
This is a coup for the Twins, who need pitching badly. Milone wanted out of Oakland because there was no room for him in the rotation, which will not be the case in Minnesota. Milone is a 27-year old with some untapped upside, but he's already tasted some big-league success as well. A great acquisition for Minny.

What does it give the Oakland Athletics
The A's had Fuld earlier this season but lost him to Minnesota via waivers. Now, after trading {P Yoenis Cespedes} earlier in the day, Oakland felt the need to add more outfield help. Therefore, they shipped out the unhappy Milone in order to reacquire Fuld, who could form a left field platoon with {P Jonny Gomes} to replace Cespedes.

Fantasy impact
Milone's stock is on the rise now that he has been dealt, because he should immediately join the Minnesota rotation. Fuld may find it harder to get regular at-bats in Oakland than it was recently in Minnesota, so his fantasy value may fall.
