The New York Yankees acquired pitcher Chaz Roe from the Miami Marlins for cash.
What does it give the New York Yankees
In Roe, the Yankees land a solid reliever with a little bit of big-league experience (21 games with Arizona in 2013). He's been pitching well at Triple-A New Orleans this season and could be a depth arm down the stretch for the Yanks.
What does it give the Miami Marlins
The Marlins are always looking to shed players for cash whenever they can, so this is just another move in that direction. Clearly, Miami likes its bullpen enough to not add Roe to their September roster, since they're still in contention.
Fantasy impact
Roe doesn't have enough fantasy value to be on anyone's radar at this point. He's mostly bullpen filler for the Yankees.
