FISH ACQUIRE RELIEVER CROW FROM KC

The Miami Marlins acquired pitcher Aaron Crow from the Kansas City Royals for pitchers Brian Flynn and Reid Redman.

What does it give the Miami Marlins
In Crow, the Marlins get a talented reliever who hopes to get back on track with a change of scenery. He struggled in 2014 and was deemed expendable by Kansas City thanks in large part to their bullpen depth. He could serve a setup role for {P Steve Cishek} in Miami.

What does it give the Kansas City Royals
The Royals are dealing from a position of surplus here, as Crow was surpassed in the bullpen hierarchy by both {P Wade Davis} and {P Kelvin Herrera} in '14. In Flynn, they acquire a decent lefty starter who might be a candidate for the rotation in 2015. As for Redman, he's a minor-league reliever with a little upside.

Fantasy impact
Crow should see a greater number of hold chances in Miami in '15, but isn't likely to become a saves factor unless Cishek goes down to a long-term injury. Flynn could also see a spike in fantasy value if he cracks Kansas City's rotation. Redman won't be on the radar until he reaches the bigs (if ever).
