The Washington Nationals acquired catcher Dan Butler from the Boston Red Sox for pitcher Danny Rosenbaum.

What does it give the Washington Nationals
This is merely a depth move for the Nationals, as Butler will add catching depth behind {P Wilson Ramos}, {P Jose Lobaton} and {P Sandy Leon} in D.C.

What does it give the Boston Red Sox
Rosenbaum is a 27-year-old left-hander with modest numbers and ability, so he will merely add some starting depth for Triple-A Pawtucket.

Fantasy impact
Neither Butler nor Rosenbaum should be on the fantasy baseball radar, despite the trade. Both are marginal talents, at best.
