RAYS ADD LEFTY BAT KRAUSS FROM THE HALOS
The Tampa Bay Rays acquired outfielder/first baseman Marc Krauss from the Los Angeles Angels for pitcher Kyle Winkler.
What does it give the Tampa Bay Rays
The Rays are looking for any bat that can help out on offense, especially since they are surprisingly contending in the American League East division this season. Therefore, Krauss could get some quality at-bats at some point.
What does it give the Los Angeles Angels
Krauss struggled badly for the Angels in 35 at-bats earlier this season, so they decided to ship him out in exchange for Winkler, a reliever who could be serviceable for Los Angeles at some point (perhaps even this season).
Fantasy impact
Krauss doesn't hold enough fantasy intrigue to pick up at this point, especially going to a team that isn't among the best at the plate. There's nothing to see here.
