DODGERS TAKE A CHANCE ON TYLER OLSON

The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired pitcher Tyler Olson from the Seattle Mariners for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

What does it give the Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers obviously see something in the 26-year-old Olson and will give him a chance to make his mark in their organization. Look for him to either compete for a bullpen spot in spring training or work as a starter in Triple-A ball in 2016.

What does it give the Seattle Mariners
The Mariners had designated Olson for assignment, so they were clearly ready to move on. This deal gives Seattle a future asset (albeit likely something relatively minor) and Olson receives another chance to get noticed in Major League Baseball.

Fantasy impact
For now, Olson is off the fantasy radar until he finds his big-league niche and establishes himself.
