MARINERS GET LeBLANC FOR STARTING DEPTH

The Seattle Mariners acquired pitcher Wade LeBlanc from the Toronto Blue Jays for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

What does it give the Seattle Mariners
Seattle is pretty desperate at present time with injuries to starters Felix Hernandez, Wade Miley and Taijuan Walker. Therefore, LeBlanc represents a cheap stop-gap measure whose stay in the Mariners' rotation is expected to be relatively brief.

What does it give the Toronto Blue Jays
The Blue Jays did not need LeBlanc for their rotation, which has been quite solid so far in 2016, so they decided to help Seattle out by sending them an emergency starter for their depleted staff. Toronto probably won't get much back in return.

Fantasy impact
LeBlanc has virtually no fantasy value, as he will probably be in the big leagues for a very short stint while the Mariners deal with injuries.
